Annual Fund Update: Off to a Good Start!
Almost halfway into this year's giving year, we are happy to report that our fundraising efforts are off to a good start!

So far, 84 members have graciously donated $8,204.00 toward this year's annual fund. With continued support from alumni, we are on track to hit a fundraising total of about $20,000.00, just like last year.

But let's not "rest on our laurels" just because things are going well now. Why not shoot for a record-breaking year?

As laid out last month in our Strategic Plan, we are aiming high over the next 10 years, leading up to our centennial anniversary in 2024, so that Sigma Phi Delta is successfully positioned to achieve yet another 100 years, and more.

The annual fund will go toward constructing the eight pillars of the Strategic Plan. Help us lay the foundations for a bigger, better and ever-relevant organization in the future!

Building Toward the Future: SPD Strategic Plan Unveiled
Last summer, during its annual Face-to-Face meeting held in Austin, Texas, the Supreme Council strategized for three days on various aspects of the Fraternity that it deemed needed improvement. After further discussion, we have codified these ideas into a long-term Strategic Plan that will be used to guide Sigma Phi Delta for the next 10 years in time for 2024, our Centennial Anniversary. As engineers we understand that in order to measure progress, one must have predefined metrics.

You can find a PDF of the Strategic Plan by logging on and going to www.sigmaphidelta.org/plan. You can also email strategicplan@sigmaphidelta.org and a PDF can be emailed to you or you can request a physical copy to be sent to you by postal mail.

For Jon Schultz '01, the SPD Connections Span the Globe
From cruising the Hobo Days parade in a bright yellow convertible to meeting up with an Epsilon alumnus in Germany, Jon Schultz ’01 (Phi Chapter, South Dakota State University) has characterized his SPD brotherhood with adventure and risk. He’s reaped the benefits of those experiences throughout his life, and encourages undergrads to do the same.

Celebrate Founders' Day and 10 Years of Brotherhood with Beta-Gamma
All brothers invited to join Beta-Gamma Chapter (Lamar University) for 10th Anniversary & Founders' Day Celebration

Every Founders' Day is important for both the entire Sigma Phi Delta International Fraternity and its individual chapters. Whether in celebration of the creation of the fraternity itself or the rise of a new chapter, each Founder's Day is a landmark to the ever growing and expanding organization.

This year, the Beta-Gamma Chapter, from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas (the only active chapter in the state!), has an especially important Founders' Day. On May 17, Beta-Gamma brothers will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of its chapter's foundation, and it is a day they wish to celebrate to its fullest. Beta-Gamma brothers are inviting all SPD alumni to join them for this milestone occasion.
